These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you and ShapeCV Inc. ("ShapeCV," "we," "us," or "our") governing your access to and use of the ShapeCV website, platform, and services (collectively, the "Services").

By creating an account, accessing, or using our Services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

Account Creation

To use certain features of our Services, you must create an account. You agree to:

Account Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to use ShapeCV. By creating an account, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement and have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement.

Free and Premium Plans

ShapeCV offers both free and paid subscription plans. Premium features require a paid subscription.

Billing and Payments

• •Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled before the renewal date
• •You are responsible for all charges associated with your account
• •We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice

Refund Policy

We offer a 14-day money-back guarantee for new Premium subscriptions. Refund requests must be submitted within 14 days of your initial purchase. Renewal charges are non-refundable.

You agree to use ShapeCV only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree NOT to:

• ✕Upload false, misleading, or fraudulent information to your resume
• ✕Use the Services to violate any laws or regulations
• ✕Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or other users' accounts
• ✕Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code
• ✕Use automated systems (bots, scrapers) without our written permission
• ✕Resell, redistribute, or commercialize our Services without authorization
• ✕Upload malicious code, viruses, or harmful content

Our Content

All content, features, and functionality of the Services, including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, templates, software, and design, are owned by ShapeCV and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

Your Content

You retain all rights to the content you create using ShapeCV (your resume content, personal information, etc.). By using our Services, you grant us a limited license to:

• •Store, process, and display your content to provide the Services
• •Use anonymous, aggregated data for product improvement and analytics

ShapeCV uses artificial intelligence to provide suggestions, content improvements, and optimization recommendations. While we strive for accuracy, AI-generated content may contain errors or inaccuracies.

You are solely responsible for reviewing, verifying, and approving all content in your resume before use. ShapeCV is not responsible for any consequences resulting from AI-generated suggestions or content.

No Guarantee of Results

While ShapeCV provides tools to optimize your resume, we do not guarantee job interviews, employment, or specific outcomes. Success depends on many factors beyond resume quality.

Service "As Is"

The Services are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ShapeCV shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Services. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

You may terminate your account at any time through your account settings. We may terminate or suspend your access to the Services immediately, without prior notice, if you violate these Terms.

Upon termination, your right to use the Services will cease immediately. We will delete your account data within 30 days of termination, unless retention is required by law.

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes via email or through a prominent notice on our website. Your continued use of the Services after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Services shall be resolved through binding arbitration in San Francisco, California, except that either party may seek injunctive relief in court.
